The custom Bisson muffler arrived today and the finished result is outstanding! This one piece is really bringing this whole project together! Once again a huge thanks to Lance at Bisson Mufflers!

Looks really good. You'll need a bigger bench if you keep building these big ones. Look forward to seeing the Fokker fly. Should be a show stopper.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Thanks guys! A lot has been going on...I have installed all the servos, switches and ran the fuel lines. The Tx is all set up except for fine tuning but that will be done mechanically. I painted the tops of the lower wings, dark Lozengetex, with Minwax Polycrylic and will do the bottoms, light Lozengetex, once I have painted the crosses. Again, I use latex black and white for these. The fuselage is in the garage workshop now and will be getting its white trim this weekend.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

I started to add the white trim this weekend. Frog tape and latex paint again. Once this was dry I top coated with Minwax Polycrylic. All water based products. The top wings are next!

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Slow Friday at work so I was able to get the white stripe painting done. This time I decided to give the wing a lite coat of white spray paint (Painters Choice Rustoleum) and then top coated with white latex. I cannot over emphasize the importance of buying good masking tape. I use Frog Tape......expensive but well worth it!!!

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Hello Scott:
Looks real professional. I must try your methods on myMessenger rebuild.
I do like your paint shop, waiting here for spring.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Thank you Larry. With the Frog Tape there is absolutely no bleed through and the edges are extremely crisp. Yes, I am lucky to be able to use the warehouse for my larger painting tasks.
