Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Just excellent Scott, love that version. You should be extremely proud of your accomplishment and I personally would like to thank you for an excellent build log. A+
On your fabric is that dope or poly?

Got a pilot?

Bill

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Thanks Bill, it's been a labour of love for sure. The clear coat is Minwax Polycrylic. I do have an Aces of Iron 1/3 pilot for this model.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Crosses and "LO!" are all being hand painted..... I use my left hand to steady my right hand. I was also taught to make sure that the paint brush has enough paint on it. To little and the line will be streaky. I learned all of this from a sign painter.

Great photos, rib stitching really looks good on the tail feathers. Envious!

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Thanks guys! I spent most of Sunday re-organizing my trailer to fit both 1/3 Fokkers on the bottom and my 1/4 Dr1 on the top shelf. Its a tight fit but I managed to get them all in with room to move around............Time for a bigger trailer!
