I have finished detailing this area and I will prime and paint it tonight. This should pretty much be it before the final check list and test flight. I will let you all know how it goes.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

Yesterday, with the help of my trusty friend Guenter, we started the DLE85. Three flips and it started right up. After some minor richening of the low end we got a good steady reliable idle and a smooth transition to full throttle. The power was very impressive with a 26x8. I just spoke with Greg Hahn and he is using a 28x8 on his DLE85 1/3 DVII....I think I will head that way with mine.
My 2 year old son Mathew already loves airplanes, and was getting the hang of flipping the prop until mom caught us......

Test flight next........stay tuned!!!

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

It flies!!!! The first flight was very exciting as I needed a heck of a lot more nose weight.... 5lbs at least I figure.... A quick circuit and a smooth landing all well holding down elevator.....

Excellent Scott, next flight will be perfect. We sure appreciate all your efforts and time you have put into this build log.

You are definately an inspiration and the Fokker is just beautiful!

A crowd pleaser this summer.

Re: B-USA 1/3 Fokker DVII

A great day at the field.....With all of the balance and thrust issues worked out the DVII is flying really well. Stalls are a non-event and landings are at walking pace.
