some of the last flying i done recently was in 50-70km winds.this was with a autopilot capable plane.the owners of the plane were getting worried if it was getting to windy to fly(they had to hold the plane down from blowing away in the pit area)my response was how did you like the landing,there reply was"lets fuel her up" we were doing some testing,to keep a heading in this wind was part of the test.im sure youll hear news on what were up to in the near future

I like flying my "Parkflyers" (electric) backwards or just holding a complete stop in the wind, then followed by a vertical landing. My favourite with gas or electric is a perfect "Hammerhead" stall, recovery, then a full throttle dive
levelling off 2 feet from the deck. There is nothing better than a perfectly executed, no bounce landing as well.
