Just about done the Zero, still need to purchase the retracts, but other than some details yet to paint, she's almost ready to set aside for gear, and spring flying weather.

Gunter may be German, but while on exchange with the IJA, he's backing his allies.

But... Shouldn't the slogan be in German?

Re: Top Flite Hollywood Zero

Of course not silly. He's American. You see, the story is, while filming a European Theatre WW 2 movie, our actor was given a chance on his break, to fly a Hollywood Zero. Someone translated the Japanese words just ahead of that, into English. Totally plausible! lol Confused yet? I'm getting that way making up a story for this one!

Hey that works. My original reply was just the "lol", but apparently there's a 6 word minimum required for replies!

Re: Top Flite Hollywood Zero

Good, but it's a play on "God is my Co-Pilot". Best I could do, spur of the moment!

Re: Top Flite Hollywood Zero

Finally got the eflite retracts, and everything installed, so just need to set toe-in, file the flat spots for the bolts, and the Zero is ready to chase some P-40s around the field!

Re: Top Flite Hollywood Zero

Need to invent a "Hollywood P-40". Maybe Piper Cherokees in AVG markings?

Re: Top Flite Hollywood Zero

They had real P-40s for Tora Tora Tora, but there's some homebuilt P-40s, Loehle being the most popular. I've seen lots of Hollywood Panzers though!
