ASP .53 2 Cycle glow

Have an ASP .53 I bought 5+ years ago in the Richmond Hill area and had a mishap due to a battery failure.

I need a crankcase and possibly the crankshaft if I can't find a place to straighten it.

Anyone know where I can find ASP parts in Canada?

Nobody seems to have even heard of the .53 2 cycle.

It is probably not worth it unless you can find a used engine for parts.

FYI an average FS crank is about $80 to $100 for a saito or OS engine in that size, and a case would be probably close to $60 or $80.

You should be able to get parts, however, as Horizon Hobby Distributers are the distributors, try through Great Hobbies maybe?

if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!

Thanks AJC,

I called Horizon today and as well know, the ASP engines are discontinued.

They don't even have a listing of the .53 2 cycle.

They think it may have come directly from China.

I bought it a Peter Woo's old hobby shop before it closed.

I think you are right about the cost of the parts. Not a viable option!

Hopefully someone will see the post and have an engine that is suitable for parts.

I was looking for an engine for a new Bill Evans Simitar that I am building for my nephew.

I had one a few years ago with a K&B 40 and it was a fun little flyer.

Guess I might put on a OS .46 that I have on my Fazer or the .40 FP I had on an old trainer.

Thanks again.
