OS40SR - COLLECTOR Item S O L D

OS40SR A pristine example of OSs first venture into the high performance racing .40 field. It has a ringed piston, rear rotor (actually rear drum) engine and has a carburettor. This engine requires crankcase pressure to run.
The engine dates back to 1978 and has only a couple of hours break in time on it. It was quickly apparent that it could not turn up with the then dominant K & B .40SR and was returned to its box, the subject of a failed (and costly 105.00 1978 dollars) experiment.
This OS40SR comes with original box, instructions, pressure nipple, alternate throttle arm and wrench. There is also a new spare rear rotor. (When I ordered this engine as a OS 40 Rear Rotor World engines originally saw fit to send the spare part, not the engine!) I got to keep the rotor for free!
75.00 2003 dollars, Shipped - to a good home.
Please note this is NOT a sport type engine and will not idle.
