Was wondering if the earosal paints like tremclad or the automotive touch up paints found at Canadian Tire are fuel proof.

I can vouch for tremclad rustpaint spraycans. I suspect you may have problems with the automotive touch up paints unless you are using gasoline as fuel.

Canadian Tire..

Please.... don't use the Canadian Tire paint!! Hard to paint, not very fuel proof and react with a lot of other paint!!. I have tried the "Best Buy" automotive paint with relatively good result (see my Cessna 185 on my website). Don't think it's 100% fuel proof, specially with not burned methanol. I have tried the "Perfect paint" for the first time in my Cap 10 and I love it. It's the can format, not in aerosol, but I really like the finition. I'l start to make my color shema this week and I'm pretty confident of the good result. My friend use this paint for his warbird since a lot of years and, even after oundred of flight, the paint stay very nice.
But, what ever you choose, use the SAME brand for all the color!! It's my better advice !!
