When talking Combat.... Open class... You must know which open class we are talking about as to what plane is "The Best"
For most combat flyer's ...Open means the class "B"
Max. engine displacement .30 and airplane can't be over 3lbs .... or something like that !

The SPAD's are gr8. A little slower than some but can stand up to the punishment. Once you build a few of them, you can figure out just how to make them work for you.
Another good one, is the Tuffflight Predator. This will cost you a bit more but is a lot faster and more manuverable. This is also one tuff airplane. "Some say ... just as tuff or tuffer than a SPAD."

Check them out at

I had one last summer and it stood up very well. I did however only get into combat a few times with it. Lost interest in Combat. Just TOO MUCH Fixing... LOL

One of my favorites is the SPAD DogFighter... fast and easy to build. I simplified the wing by making it out of a single piece of folded 2mil though... flies great and very maneuverable, though not the fastest plane I guess
