Hi Andrew, glad you're happy with the engine. It was always a very strong engine for me. That muffler system looks great! Is the mouse can and stuff aluminum? If so how did you weld it? Nice looking spinner nut too. You can't buy 'em that nice!

Yes, the mousse can pipe and header are aluminum. I dont weld it, but I use this aluminum "cold weld" stuff (it is made in Germany, 97% aluminum unlike JB weld that is less than 50% metal and will take the heat up to about 600 degrees) I buy from a foundry supply house. Its about $80 for a small kit but works so well it is worth it for repairing aluminum, on engines and mufflers, etc. I get it from Smelco Foundry SUpply in Milton. Same plce I buy my casting sand.
My other friend I work with gave me a Picco header that fits the engine, after I made this one - Oh well now I have a spare
