O.K. all you Astro Hog fans, what changes did you make to the original?. I inherited a set of plans, (no instruction book, etc.) and will build one from these without the benefit of some of the balsa sizes, so a lot of it will be educated(?) guesses. Any areas of weakness, etc that I should be aware of?.

Make a cowl and enclose the engine, get rid of the head rest type turtle deck and make it flush, use a canopy bubble style, flair in the wings at the fusalage and cover it like the PT 19 or the PT 26. You can even make the shape of the tail more like the PT 19 or 26.

When I built mine I stayed stock except reinforced the horizontal stab spar with some carbon top and bottom, after seeing TWO guys inthe Flying Dutchman club crack theris doing snap rolls.

Mine has held up and I fly it with an OS 91 FS and it goes pretty good.
