Like Jim Mc said you do not want to compress the foam. You can use elastic bands to secure the foamblock/receiver into the a/c but again the idea is to NOT compress the foam or do so as little as possible.

What hobby shop do you go to Chris? Your local hobby shop guy should be able to show you what to do or a fellow club member. You do belong to MAAC and a club, right?

I ussually wrap the foam around the receiver then secure it with masking tape, again being carefull not to compress the foam to much. But I like Jim's idea better about building a foam box. What do you use to glue the foam together Jim?

Udisco Hobbies in Montreal sell a neet product called the R/C Strongbox. It is a moulded plastic box lined with foam rubber that you but your receiver into and it has mounting lugs so you can secure it on rails just like a servo. I am out of town till 26 Feb but I wll post a picture of it once I am home again.
I belong to Bramalea and I have a friend there and My dads friend so i know a couple people that could help me out because my friend has been doing it for about 2 years (flying rc) and my dads friend tony has been doing it for a really really long time lol! And I usually go to hobby hobby
