A friend of mine who is a amature engine builder, sent me a couple of pictures of a V12 Merlin from a show he was at a few months back.
I can not give you any tech info on this motor as I just don't know.... I don't even know the scale....
But the Pictures have drool marks on them..

Thought I would share them here with you all. .... Enjoy

WoW!!!!

That is a nice piece of work! Do you know where the show was?

There was a fella down in California who did a 1/4 scale merlin (without the blower) but I don't recall it having the level of detail of this beauty.....

In RCU in the engine column Marty Cowan was asking about some company in the USA producing a set of castings (no finished engines) for the merlin. I think they sold for something like $2500 US JUST for the raw unmachined castings, and the drawings!

You may want to ask Marty more about it ...

Merlin 1/4 scale

When I first saw the ad in M.A.N for this engine, I knew instantly I was in trouble I was going to have own one of these puppys... I soon found out that just the engine castings were available - Doh!!!
You would need to have the engineering skills and machinery to manufacture complete Merlin internal components. That counts me out....
Apparently some additional components are being offered?

Can you just imagine the sound though

heres some info on the awesome 1/4 scale Merlin-

Hi All,

Anybody interested further in this engine let me know I have the web address. Its hiding in my stuff somewhere so I wont dig it out unless you are interested. For what its worth it is 1/4 scale, makes 16HP and has a working supercharger!
