It's happening again!!!! The Mission Wings RC Heli fun fly went so well last year, that we're doing it again. Hopefully we can get lots of pilots out again.

Hi Jim
The date is actually listed on the maac site in the link, as well as most of the other pertinent information, but it is scheduled for July 18th. Pilots meeting will be at 9:00 am, flying starts right after the pilots meeting. Registration will be open before 9:00 and proof of a valid maac membership will be required for flying. Spectators and visiters don't need to register and can come any time throughout the day. Even pilots can show up any time during the day, but the earlier you come and the more flying you do, the more chances you get at prizes.

I love this one. Unfortunately I will not be back from Austria until the 20th.

Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly

Sorry Darren, yours is my favorite in the our MAAC region.

I was looking forward to it as I wanted to also do some nite flying again (I haven't done any for many years). Unfortunately, last year I accepted a request form the FAI to again judge the F3C Heli World Championship that will be held in Austria in July this year, so I can't very well say no at this point.

Man, I sure wish I could fly half as well as so many can there. But it is always interesting to judge them. This year will be the first time with the new maneuvers introduced last year, so it should be specially interesting.

I think this will be my last time doing so, as after doing it since 2001, I am getting quite burned out from it all, so next year & 2017 should be OK.

Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly

Well, thanks for the compliment Phil. Hopefully it will go just as well again this year. Looks like Marcs wife is already getting prepared to make those AWESOME home made hamburger patties again.

As for Nite Flying, we won't be able to do that at mine. We have to be cleared by 9:00 at night but we should be able to at PDQ and Summer Slam again. I hope.....

Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly

It's only one month away! I've heard back from several great sponsors already! It's looking like it should be another fun event, so make sure you don't miss it!!!! Course I might be a bit biased......

Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly

Just might be out of hibernation for this one. It's been a long time since I've been there. I think the last time was when I flew deans hot cat there. Look forward to it.

Awesome. I look forward to having you come out Kevin. Do you still have that Century? I see in your signature that you have a couple of goblins now.
