Adjusting ESC Speed

I've been calibrating 4 ESC for my quad and one is turning the motor slower than the others. I know that it's the ESC because I calibrate on a test rig I put together (so it's always the same motor).

I am using 25A Emax Simon K series ESC units, and I know they have 3 different rotational speeds since it says that in the manual. Would anyone know how to adjust that speed? Or why one ESC is spinning slower than the others?

Please note that the 4 ESC units were calibrated at the same time with the same process.

Thank you for reading this.

Re: Adjusting ESC Speed

If your getting a slightly different speed from one esc. I would calibrate that one esc on it's own for trouble shooting purposes. You can do this manually with the RX as the pulses will still be coming from your radio.

Re: Adjusting ESC Speed

All brushless motors have a manufacturing kv allowance. That would be why in most cases , motors are bought as a set so they are more evenly matched. Esc's are usually right on so really in effect you are adjusting the faster throttle curve to match the slower motor. Had that in my twin aircraft with +- 2% motor tolerance. In my case I had one at +2 and the other at -2 for an overall differential of 4% so at a speed of 9000 rpm that was a 360 rpm difference. At the importers suggestion ,I adjusted the higher speed motor curve down to get a match of within about 20 rpm.
