My e-mail list just advises you on updates to the website and other "district" related items. Contest reminders etc. I can assure you that there will not be a large number of them. As Chad mentioned, the NSRCA e-mail list is a great resource.. I generally lurk around the e-mail topics that interest me and delete the rest. (Not a big deal unless your dial-up)

Glad you can use the building idea's... that's the whole idea plus the fact that these kits can be built by just about anyone with some basic skills and tools (like me ) A nice router like Mark (@ ZNLine) has would be a great Christmas present.... mmm oh honey!

Contact Mark Byrne at for entry into the "Pattern at Princeton". You'll be inspired by the top FAI guys like Chad & Dan. Always great to get the motivation and yes you will fly FAI eventually so start saving for that 2 meter! (PS take my advice and save for two!)

Also if your interested there is a fellow in Vernon named Mike Allman (awesome flyer as well and he is very open to helping you out - listen to everything he tells you!) He practically eats, sleeps & lives anything to do with RC. (No kids or wife!)

I'll get his number if your interested in a little Sunday drive (with your plane of course).

PS: To those reading, this is known as psychin out the competition How it works is that by the time the first contest rolls around Dave will be so concerned about how much I have practised that he will make all kinds of mistakes in his own flying heheh at least that is the plan
