I thought maybe he broke his hand, or tried to remove a APC prop before the engine had stopped?

Many of us get the "opportunity". For me it was a fox (.46?) many moons ago. The muffler came loose and I was concerned it was going to get into the prop and cause 'collateral damage' so I reached for it.... through the prop. It's amazing how many times that prop can come around b4 you can pull your hand away.
