What's that l hear? Could it be the sounds of SPRING!! l'll check!
Yup, to the back yard l go and the ground isn't frozen, how do l
know? l'm up to my ankles in mud
Seriously, it's time to dust off the wing, put the iron on the
monokote to reshrink those spots, check all clevises and linkages,
screws, engine mounts, you get the idea.
Most importantly and for newer fliers cycle and analyze your
battery packs, nothing is more tragic then losing a plane on the
first couple of flights because a bad cell snuck in your RX/TX
over the long winter.
l go over all my equipment head to toe each spring before l
go near the field, it's a bit of work but the piece of mind is worth it.

Tell me about it! We've had 4 days over 0 in a row.
Thought about going to the beach today...

Can't wait till the field dries up!

I've been lucky. I got to fly the past two weekends in a row. The symptoms of N.F.RC. (Not Flying RC) withdrawl are slowly going away!

Soon boys, soon

I just got the suspension on my Explorer stiffined up to get ready to haul my trailer around for another season... All the planes are set up, batteries check out and engines ready to rock and roll! Another few weekends and the field should be opened up and its FLYIN' TIME AGAIN!!!

My wife says "why do you think it's so green here?"
Cause of all the moss?

Can't be much longer now....

Spring is here

Spring is here, The crocus's say so!!!
I still have 2 feet of snow in the front yard, but is melted away from the house exposing the flower beds. Sure enough crocus's are poking their heads up and trying to bloom. :P
