Lanier F4 phantom

Wondering what people thought of the Lanier F4 phantom. I was wondering how it flew and what mods have you made from the stock setup. Also since all the planes seem to balance nose heavy anyone tried putting hitec HS81MG servos next to the tail surfaces to balance it and reduce pushrod lenths instead of just putting your receiver batterie right in tail. I was thinking of using 2 elevator servos and one rudder.

Hey guys and gals just got my first flights on the F4 yesterday and gotta say it's a nice flying machine but it loves to bounce on landing on our clubs paved strip when you use the stock wheels so I'm planing on putting on some low bounce wheels instead. I flew the plane with 75% throws for both low and high rates and 30% expo for low rates and 50% expo for high rates. These rates were a bit slow but if your just starting in jets they'll be a good starting point. I'd appreciate any tips on landing a prop jet you guys might have and also any suggestions on mods to the landing gear that may help with landing.

Hi James,
Got any pics?
What's your estimated top speed?

Thanks,
Jason

There's a short video of takeoff in the gallerie section of our club website under the heading videos. I will post some pictures when I find the camera. I'd say this plane flies somewhere between 90-100MPH. I'm hoping to gain another 10-20MPH by changing the prop installing a pipe and going from 10% to 15% fuel.
