I was considering it. But not this summer...

I was running the engine yesterday, and started working on the turbine nut again (the new one). Allthough the engine runs to 120,000 rpm, I am still working on some imbalance I feel at certain rpm's. I know it can get better, its just that I dont have the time right now to spend on it (I am too busy flying, getting yard work and planting donem, etc) So I made a descision to put it aside for a few months and when the flying season starts to close I will start back on the fine tuning.

I also want to (after about an hour run time so far) completely dissassemble the engine and see what the inner parts look like.

The new starter works so darn good, I can start it so fast now. I am stilltrying to figure the GB TCU out 100%, I think I have it set pretty good but it can get better too (the ramps and such).

So, thats it for now. I dont want to spend any more nights in the shop when I should be out at the field flying. Geesh, its allready the middle of June! Yikes!!

BY the way, last night I thrust tested my engine. I am getting only 13 or 14 pounds thrust (about 6kg on my scale) but the exhaust temps with the cone on are still below 500 degrees and I know I can start to "crimp" down the outer cone to constrict the exhaust gasses and increase the thrust (and temps to 600) to hopefully somewhere between 16 and 17 pounds.

Too much to do and not enough daylight...I hear you - loud and clear!

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you will have to catch up.
