Cortex Gyro Update?

I cannot find instructions on how to hook up the gyro to my computer. I have the patch cord but nowhere does is say what port or orientation it hooks into in the gyro. Also I understand that I need to power up the gyro while it is in the update mode. What type of battery and which port?

Last but not least I would like to program the nose wheel to turn off while retracted and also set the nose gear to heading hold while the other channels are in rate mode.

Anyone done this yet?

I'm using Futaba 18MZ

See you in one week at Forest Jets.

Re: Cortex Gyro Update?

Hi Peter,

The usb cable supplied goes in to the right most port on the Cortex black wire up, if you are looking at it so you can read the word "CORTEX" on it. If you install and run the software on your computer there is actually an illustration on the main page that shows you how to connect it.

It is pretty easy to program from there. I suggest a laptop so you can program it in your plane, that will take care of getting it power from your receiver and you won't have to re-install it.

As for programming your nose wheel...I'm sorry, I really have no idea!

Good luck!
