My house insurance has informed me that my airplanes that are stored in the house are not covered by insurance in case of fire , theft, etc.

Does anyone have any comment or further info on this policy ????

I think it depends on your policy.

I asked when we set up our policy... typical misunderstanding (they were thinking something that would fit in a milk crate.
When I brought them into the workshop there was a lot more discussion resulting in a clause being written in to cover me. When I explained that my inventory varies from time to time, they told me to keep an inventory with pictures.....

We have a contents replacement policy. The only special rider I put on was for my camera equipment. It might be an extra $30 a year, but "in theory" I could throw it against the wall" and I am covered. It came in handy, when my underwater camera had a cracked lens. I don't know if it cracked underwater or if it was cracked before, but I got a new camera. As long as things are replaced they are covered. If it wasn't replace, I would have only gotten about 50% of the value.

But, I think I may do a double check now.
