Debs and Air Cadets

It is really good to see this site. I am currently teaching the Air Cadets to build and fly the spad Debonairs. We have two of them on the building table now. We have done some modifications to the wings and I am making the landing gear about two inches wider to give more stability.
We will be using Thunder Tiger Pro 46 engines. It will take about 3-4 more sessions to have them up and flying as we only have about an hour and a half a week building time. There are three cadets and their instructor this year as it is the first for this project.
I am teaching one fellow on my own Deb( I have 2, and 3 of the smaller combat jobs) and he likes flying it better than his own trainer. It is powered with a GMS 47 11-6 MAS prop and will lift of in 8 feet and go vertical. It will also do slow rolls ,inverted flite, and just about any thing you want, spins are not very good but it does not stall either.

Great to see your doing it with the cadets, SPAD keeps the cost realistic and the building time to a minimum
