Glad to hear your maiden flight went well, it encourages me to
get mine in the air I've been so busy lately l haven't finished
mine yet but hope to over the weekend. I picked up higher
torque servos and a few other items today so no more excuses
This plane is well made and with the ailerons the wing is huge
Did you change to 4-40 hardware or stay with the supplied?
I'm going with a Saito 91 but am thinking about side mounting it
instead of inverted it's easier to get at the plug and you avoid
the concerns some claim about inverted engines.
If this plane flies as well as yours......

Hangar 9 has these remote glow driver extensions. Have worked extremely well this year and cost about $11 Cdn. Neat thing is that it leaves an 1/8 inch female lead that attaches to your cowl and you have a 6" wire that attaches to your glow driver. The weight of the glow driver is never on the cowl so little risk of pulling it out.

On the other hand, Saito's love to run inverted so that shouldn't be an issue.

Just fyi

Thanks Bob that's good to know about the Saito engines, this is
my first 4 stroke and inverted mount l saw a pic of a ucan do
on another site and the guy side mounted his, hacked up his cowl
pretty bad l prefer to mount inverted to conceal the engine, it
looks much neater, l had seen the remote glow equip you mean
l'll look into that.

anyone flying the UCD 46? I got mine all ready to go, but still need to get a .91 4 stroke for her. how are you guys managing hovering with the .91 in teh 60 size plane, i saw a video of one with a saito 91 in the ucd 60, and it could barely lift out of the hovers.
