Well, somehow the clouds cleared up before dawn and this morning when I got up in Tillsonburg the rain had stopped. Spent a great day at the Springford club, got to meet some super guys, talk to Jim Daly for a while and put in 7 super flights on 3 different planes I brought with me.

Thanks to all the guys responsible for the event and the food, I am glad I drove the 8 hours to come down. Whoever was responsible for the sunny day, an extra thanks for you!

Just wish I didnt forget my camera and I could have posted some pics

I second Andrew sentements!

I'll back Andrew up on this one!

When I left Mississauga at 10h00 it was still gloomy and overcast but I thought I would give it a go any way. Half way there the sun peaked out and started to see some blue sky... things were looking up.

Arrived about 11h30 and sky was partly cloudy with sunny patches, no I am not a weather man! About 2 dozen cars there and about the same amount of aircraft.

Nice Balsa USA Sopwith Pup and some other aircraft including Frank Klenk's Super Skybolt. Nice field and not too soggy. I have been working late these past few weeks and was unable to have an a/c ready but I still had fun chatting with everyon, taking pictures and partaking of some great Bar-B-Q Pig Roast!

Hope to be able to make it again next year, with an aircraft!

Andrew thanks for letting me bend your ear for a few hours. Since joining RC Canada and chatting with you and all the other members my interest in the hobby has received a much needed bosst of nitro... thanx!

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately, I couldn't go. I would like to meet all you guys face to face and enjoy some fun times and comeraderie!
Maybe I can make it to the next one.

Was Frank's Skybolt the red one with white sunbursts? Sniff! I miss her!Sniff!

As Ron said, sounds like it was a great day and I wish I could have made it.
Unfortunately work reared its ugly head once again.

Next event or next year, whichever comes first!
