I also have a Horizon Hobby / Hobby Zone Sport Cub S. The take-off and landing speed is so low that you can land on anything: including my lawn when I would rather fly than cut it. Take-off can be done from the (closed) box if the grass is catching the prop.

I trained on a Hobbistar. I upsized the wheels from 2-3/4" to 3-1/2" and it handled the grass just fine.

I started with the HZ Super Cub. Put larger wheels on it to deal with grass. After that, the ParkZone T-28, again with larger wheels.
