If it will help, here is a pic (from a different airplane) but is shows the bar code of the aluminum that we get in the states for the Spa3d. The dimensions stated in the picture are the inside measurements.

I had to resort to 3/4 square tubing and cut one side off (what a mess!!!)

The servos do not fit too well in it, so it would have been better, cheaper and easier to go with 1" channel which Home Hardware had in stock......

Futaba 148 servos will not fit in the channel they are .8 of an Inch where JR 507 and 517 fit perfectly.

JR Wins Again!!!

Before I would cut a side out of a square tube I would Glue and screw to L channels together. Don't need to many screws and give you a stronger spine.

Wayne, I used box channel from Home Depot and didn't cut it. Just mount your servos on top with tie raps and double tape. Dont worry about the weight, i didn't and my SPA3D flys great! One thing I am about to do is move my aileron servos closer to the center of each aileron (to much flutter)
See my pics (scroll down the page) http://www.geocities.com/toneinator/techie.html

Harold, this bar stock is available at Home Depot and Building Box. I've checked both places and found B-Box the cheapest. Note that the bar and channel stock are kept together in a small area-if you cant find it, ask, its there.

Aluminum U channel

I also had a hard time finding U channel. I just bought 3/4" x 3/4" , "L" shape aluminum, and screw them together when you attach the engine mount and stabilizer Works great, and you can adjust the width for any servo.
