I had the privledge of seeing Kevin's Spitfire on static display at the London swap meet and believe me, the pictures don't do it justice. Man, what a beautiful bird. The scale detailing is excellent! Hope I get to see it fly!

Latex paint is gas proof and nitro proof only to about 5 or 10% .You can clear over it without any trouble .

Looks great Kevin! Can't wait to see it in person! I used one of those pilots in mine as well. One thing I did was take the mae west off, from the back side couple slots in it and pull out some of the stuffing. IMHO it looked to 'plump'...almost like he pulled the lever to open it when he got into the plane, not on his way out!

LoL.... Well he is just a touch small for the spit but....we will say he was only 5 foot tall in real life Those pilots sure are an easy way to dress up the cockpit of any plane .Now the only real job left is to weather it some and make it look a little worn.

Well guys ...
It has been a long comming and it was worth the wait I did my first test flight and the spit didn't let me down . It flew like it was on rails big time .The ZDZ 40 was an excellent choice for the spit's 25 pounds . Did a few cricuts , a couple loops a few rolls and a worm burner pass .Looked great . It took 2 clicks of up, to trim and 1 click of right . I only had one glitch in the flight ...I had miss routed the carb line and it fell on the muffler . 7 mins into flight I was forced to do a dead stick landing do a hole in the fuel line from the muffler .No trouble there .It surprised me at how well it came in with no power .I actually had to use full flaps to get it to slow down . Here are a few pics of it a the field fully weathered and ready to go. KP
