Finishing up the flap installation on the right hand wing, after this its the nacelles and the motor attachment. I am also modifying two battery parallel connection harnesses into one harness that will connect the two ESC's to the two batteries so everything is in parallel.
the amount of wires coming out of the wings is astounding! I have to get working on a maint. manual for this plane just to keep things straight.
I was thinking a manual would be a good way to make sure I remember what servos were used where and the other bits and pieces as well.

Getting closer to maiden!
Have you picked up any other jets to practice on?

Re: Windrider B737

Looks like i'm emulating the real industry, the maiden flight of my 737 has been postponed till next year due to supply and production issues.
I just haven't had time to finish the fiddly items that are now on the ticket, and one of the motors has bad bearings so I need to get another one.
So, a year late and over budget. Maybe I can ask the government for some money like the big guns do!

Re: Windrider B737

Am putting balsa leading edges on the horizontal and vertical fins as I have already banged up the foam pretty good just from building.

What fix the kit cost you to your door ?

I've been looking at it but haven't gotten any feedback as to the cost shipped to Canada.

Re: Windrider B737

Thought i'd do a quick overview of the construction process here.
The first photos show the installation of the nose gear, servo and lighting wires, prior to the two halves being glued. Then as they are glued, with the vertical fin decal applied. Note to self, next time apply the decal after installing the rudder servo. lol

Re: Windrider B737

This next set shows the wing wiring and how it goes through the engine pylon mount, so prior to engine mount, all wiring has to be in and complete because once the pylon is in, there is no way to run a wire through it.
The last photo shows the wing tip LEDs and wiring.

Re: Windrider B737

Deciding to add flaps, I did a lot of reading about this mod on the RC Groups forum. After a bit of debate, I decided to go for it and add them. I did not add functioning spoilers as some have, just didn't feel they were necessary, but the dummy spoilers I made were balsa, shaped and then as per the wing shape and glued them into place.
