I have one servo for the elevator, Futaba 9206, one 9202 per aileron surface (2 in total), one 9202 per flap surface (2 in total).
One servo for brakes, one servo for the steering, and one servo (9202) for the rudders with Sullivan pushrods.

Total: 8 servos.

You might want to consider the Jetronics brake valve. This device is user programmed to give you whatever braking mode you want. On-Off or fully proportional. As the device plugs directly into the receiver, you don't need a servo or a mechanical valve. Saves weight too. Price wise it is similar to a sevo and mechanical valve. Dean Wichmann can give you further information´┐Ż

I suggested Gary not get brakes. I didnt even use mine on grass, and they arent needed IMO. Pat at PCM tried to talk me out of brakes but I thought I would spend the extra 300 bucks anyhow (doh!).

You can allways get them after, easy to put on if you need them, but from grass I cant see them being necessary. I doubt I will use mine...
