I noticed the last one says 1999, seems longer than that but we probably got it in 98.Do you think we will see another one, I find product search on their site is poorly set up.

If we all bug them enough maybe they will get on it faster??

I hope they put one out soon, and I hope it's as good a reference catalouge as previous ones have been.
I have the last 2 still, and still use them regularly even though they are very outdated. The earlier one I have has tons of good info beyond just what a catalouge should have. I hope when they print the new one that they use the same format!

But for now, still.....waiting,
.......waiting

..........waiting

..............waiting

That catalogue has been in the works for 2 - 3 years now. I thought they would have put it went when they set up shop in the west. Oh well.

When they opened in the west, they put an article in the flyer that said they were going to get the catalouge out soon!

Some people have a different idea of what "soon" means I guess! :P

But if you think about the logistics;

The majority of their business has to be web as that is their model. Maybe it's just not cost effective to produce a catalogue that is probably out of date within three or four months. On the web, new pricing and products are automatically circulated to everyone as soon as it's changed in one location.

Now don't get me wrong, for the modeller it's a wish list and yeah, I'd love to just read one through and look at "stuff". But if I then wanted to order, chances are I'd check the website first for accurate pricing, did it still exist etc etc. So it comes down to, what is their incentive to produce one? What percentage of the non-web business would they be addressing?

If it truley isn't coming out though, it would be nice if they just said that

They used a good method of pricing to help to keep from being outdated too quickly; items in the catalouge that were more popular did not have pricing, you had to refer to the flyer. So if you used the flyer for pricing and for "new" products, the catalouge remains valid for a long time. I can still use the old catalouge for a lot of items, I just refer to the flyer for pricing. But as time goes by, more items are becoming obsolete, and many new products are coming out, so the catalouge gets less and less use.

Heck, just yesterday I wanted to compare the weights of Saito and O.S. four strokes, and guess where I found the answers quickly and easily?

That's true Gary!

Now if their service on special orders was as fast as your service, that'd really be sayin' something!!
