I recall going through that phase, then it was side-on....
Practice any one thing too long and all other orientations become uncomfortable. Force your self to move on and you'll be comfortable with all orientations before long.

Jim is right, after you get a good handle on all orentations go up a little higher and do some slow piros over one spot, this is hard and you get all orentations so it shows that you have control over the heli and you wont get stuck with just nose in or tail in.....time to throw that security blanket away and just get in the air and practise, practise, practise. I learnt FF before I did nose in because it is easier to bail out when you know how to fly curcits.
