Didn't want to post until I got it flying several times. I kept on practicing controls using the RealFlight RC simulator until I was confident enough. With that the first flight was a success. A few drawbacks and a major crash went afterwards but the coroplast was durable enough to be repaired in a matter of hours. The last time I flew it three times only having a minor crash (hit a tree) on the first take off. Everything went smoothly after that. It was so exciting. All landings were very smooth.

If you can see the attached image, I made the rudder, elevator, main wing supports and the front panel from a Tim Horton's Turkey Bacon Sandwich promotional sign.

I have to ask ..... Are you trying to learn to fly by yourself?

If so, where abouts are you located?

Maybe we can find someone to help you!

Hi Jim,

Yes I was learning to fly by myself. I had to. Did not want to join a club until I was sure I had a plane to use and saved enough for the fees. I will probably join the Toronto Flying Club next year. This club and its flying field is nearest to where I am (Tapscott and Finch).

Hmmm...I think I posted on the wrong I built this one by myself based on a SPAD website...Anyway I am still a beginner so I guess I'm not really out of place.

Thanks for your thoughts, Jim.

You should check with the club as many cut their fees in half in September.
