Kit cutting

Out curiosity, can anyone give a ball park figure for a plane kit to be cut? The entire plan is in .dxf format and the plane is a sport df jet.
I suppose it's better to ask the kit cutters themselves but I guess I'm just curious to see if anyone has had a single (or maybe 2) kits cut, what type of plane was it, and how much $$$ was involved.
Thanks and I hope I don't sound to DUH!!!!
Howzitgoin' eh?

Well mine's a .60 size Pattern ship and it came in at $42 USD. Considering that's about the same price as the wood alone I'm pretty happy with that.

Just a note on Trillium Balsa. I emailed them on the 28th of August and still have yet to hear back. I'd prefer my money to stay in Canada as well but I'm not going to pay for poor customer service.

Was talking with Adrian Page. He deals with Trillium, and seems to be satisfied with them.

I've had Trillium do some cutting for me.

Always did a good job for a good price!

I Just picked up some stock for my new project from Don Wilson in Grimsby ON (Don's Bass and Balsa Wood). We got talking (as usual) and he informed me that I can get laser cutting done through him now as well. I believe he does it himself. His prices are excellent on everything (at or below wholesale prices and 25% discount on Canadian funds?) and he is a pleasure to deal with. No Website but here is the contact info.

Hello All

This is an interesting thread. It is good to see models being developed.

I use to cut Trillium kits when they did the Meister kits. Barry is a good guy and will treat you right. I have seen him bend over backwards to please just one modeller. Don's bass and balsa gets all his cutting done by Trillium Balsa. Go directly to Barry. This is a small family organization that has a really good client log. Barry may have not been able to get to your request yet. Call him 519-688-3522. I will also be going up to see him this week and will ask him about your request, if that is okay
you really can't go wrong with Barry
