The point I am trying to make is why warming up both ESC and FBL when it's un-necessary to energize both the FBL from ESC. Having a fire is not likely, but it's not impossible if something has gone wrong setting up the system... it's Murphy's law IMO.

I would rather wait until the snow is gone. Our temperature is running around freezing but the winds are the bigger issue. Having said that I need as much landing space as possible since I am just getting back into helis.

Yeah I use my X3 to keep my thumbs sharp. So some wind is good practice if you think of it that way haha.

Well it's a blizzard out there today!!!
Jason I am good for 50-60 km winds with my bigger 550-700 size birds, the wind chill is what sucks in the winter , turning minus 2 into minus 20 very quickly. I've flown my X3 in 20 km winds so far, love the back flips down wind!!

Yeah yesterday was a no go with the X3, 9*C here but 50 km winds... Going to try again today.
