Re: Gaui X3

This thing is a perfect 450. Stable, fast, solid, tough.

Other than a lot of parts to assemble I'd HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking to build their first kit, or even add to their fleet...great heli

Re: Gaui X3

Right now I've got Hobbywing 50A v3 (originally tried 35A stock 450X but the 450h motor draws too much)
450h motor (eflite)
micro ikon
servos from 450X (Hitec 5065mg and 5084 for tail)
350mm Zeal blades
belt conversion

I'm thinking 6s is gonna be the way to go with this thing. Soon....

Re: Gaui X3

True, I bought a 3S motor because I have 3S 2200 packs. I am hoping it will at least be a bit of fun. I went with the KST 215 digital HV servo's 3200kv Align motor, Ikon fbl, Align 360 blades, hoping the motor can turn the blades ok.

Re: Gaui X3

I will try it with the 12 tooth pinion and 360 blades, if it's no good i'll just buy a 6S motor for it. Having trouble getting electronics, no choices for motors or blades really at RQ. I would prefer scorpion motors but never any stock, same with nice neon easy to see canopies , can't buy it if you don't stock it.

Re: Gaui X3

I have found that if I'm not getting 100 bucks worth from RQ (free shipping)
it is often cheaper to get from US or even Fast-Lad in UK (they're great and usually less than RQ and not too long to ship)

Anythingheli is also one of my favourites for Gaui...

Hopefully our dollar gets better soon
