Hey Channing I think I know what your squeal is. The main gear must be shimmed so zero up and down play, I bet the front t/t gear pin is squealing on that bearing under collective. Mine has zero play and no noise period.
Another successful four flights , i'm liking the feel of this one. I even went online and ordered up some spares. Wish RQ would stock Fusano canopies and G10 neon frames for these heli's as well as a selection of motors by Scorpion , can't buy goodies if you don't stock em.

Re: Gaui X3

Hmm ok thanks, I'll check again for play but I did put 2 shims in. The other thing is that it's not just a squeal, the tail actually blows out.

couple more flights today since I only have 3 battery slides & 4 batteries, I'm doing alternating between my Chase360 & X3, 2 flights on each which give the motor time to cool. They both have the exact same gear, so I think I'm going do a thread to compare the 2 after some more testing & tuning.

Re: Gaui X3

Hhhmmmmm.... you never mentioned the tail blow out, that does sound like the T\T end may be slipping. I used the green thread lock as it stated then I also put a dab of medium ca on the end as well. Zero noise and no blow outs. I did find that the set screw was a tad long and put a washer between it and the boom to ensure the tube end didn't touch the set screw. Let us know what you find.

Re: Gaui X3

Good to see it's working for you Jim I'am still running the original T/T just with loctite and T/rex main shaft collers no pins for 2 1/2 years now with scorpian 2520 and 6s power.

Coastrc is your T/T pinned? May want to try that. I have about 700 flights with all original gear T/T and gears, main gear and the glued one way.

I put the collars on each end if that's what you mean, used to green glue, roughed up the ends before gluing so IDK...

Fly's great but if I punch the collective really hard something is slipping. I'm not worried enough to pull it apart, makes me use proper collective management

Re: Gaui X3

Nice to hear Kevin!!! I am battling to try to get more flight time out of mine but otherwise really liking it. The real test will come today, plus 10 and beautiful outside. Charging up the lipo pile and heading out for the day. New green dampers in the E5 to try, new settings on the X3 and , well the Rush it just plan rocks!!!
