Re: Gaui X3

Terry has over 700 flights on the original T/T zero issues, I have 17 now lol, zero issues with the gears etc. I do feel frustrated due to the short flight times hopefully as it continues to break in it'll get to 4:00 minutes, all I can get is 3:00 at the moment. I have no drag or binding , gear mesh is perfect etc etc. Maybe i'm just expecting to much from it. The packs are brand new so is the motor and esc so no idea.

Re: Gaui X3

What size pack are you using? I'm doing 4min on 1400mA with average 35% left.

Re: Gaui X3

Head speeds fine, I am just being cautious, I added 30 seconds to my timer and was 3.81 per cell when I landed. A little more fine tuning and it'll be perfect.

Re: Gaui X3

I'm a belt guy myself. I've only ever had belted tails. Ordered it right away but was curious about the tt so tried it. Found it noisier than a belt. First crash was basically a tip over cuz my beast getting too many vibes...bent tail and tt shot. If were belted would have just been boom and not whole assembly

Maybe I got unlucky but I'm forever on team belt

Re: Gaui X3

Just putting finishing touches on mine. Should be ready for this weekend. The only reason i was thinking of belt drive is for the stretch option. Braydubya was it a easy conversion to belt? I bought mine fully assembled so i have no idea how much work it might be

Re: Gaui X3

Very easy. The kit comes with everything. The Gaui conversion kit that is..I'm running Zeal 360mm and Lynx 68mm tail

To stretch you'll need the tail belt pulley plus tail shaft plus stretch belt and boom. Not sure if theres a kit for this (maybe Lynx but not sure) and a tail pushrod (Goblin 380) or custom make one...

But yeah. Conversion super easy

Re: Gaui X3

Will have to see how it flys in the size it is. It came with 6 sets of 350mm blades. I do see that lynx has a stretch kit with blades, belt, supports and a rod. Would still need the belt gear, rollers and maybe the 14 tooth tail drive shaft
