Kev, the belt conversion from Gaui has all the components in it to convert it to the belt model which the boom is longer. All parts needed are included for $35. I'll buy a set of 350's off yah to help fund it.

Supposed to be decent in a day or two here, may have to go out and spin up a few sets.

Re: Gaui X3

I am in the process of assembling a X3 with different parts packages I purchased. From what I can tell the basis kit with plastic parts is more then adequate. I have the CNC blade grips in my box of parts so I will using them for my build. When I reassembled the grips I noticed there is a very slight movement along the shaft. Will this be a problem? Neither the CNC or plastice blade grip assemblies come with a spacer to take up the slack.

When I mount the tail boom to the heli frame and mesh the gears should the rotor tail blades rotate smoothly by hand or will there be a bit of a notch feeling when you rotate it?

Re: Gaui X3

Jimmy, I have 2 sets of CNC tail grip assemblies and three out of the 4 grips have left and right movement but very slight. I can only assume they have the correct shaft.

Re: Gaui X3

Hey Jimmy, do you have any issues with the Ikon's safe feature when using the X3 torque tube? Someone made a comment they had issues until they converted the tail to belt.
