I've had no issues with it; LHS has a large number of electric guys using the same one for both as well. No incidents or lawsuits online either (yet anyway).

For me, personally, it does the job.

im building one of these foamies (well i order 6 sheets of depron, so probably more), anyways, im getting some 350c gws units in, and was wondering if they will handle lithium batts? and also will the 20p cc esc handle the lithiums fine? i was also wondering about battery weight. the only micro thing ive owned is a piccolo and i just made 800 mah aaa packs. is 2/3aa the same size as aaa? is this about the same weight as an aaa?!AC-0950&from=32

The GWS 350C units, with the D gearing work really well with 2 cells. If you go to 3 cells, you're going to cook motors pretty quickly. I'm using a Phoenix 10 esc, and it works fine. Once again, with 3 cells, the current goes up, but a 20 amp will be lots. When I was running the brushed motor, I used the esc built into my Plantraco rx, and it's a 10 amp unit.

Of course I'm an expert!
