I also fly alone. Currently I have a Blade 230s. I just started to try to fly
in the spring of this year. I have had a few "unscheduled landings".
Fortunately not to expensive to repair. Since the last one I have
7hr 30min of practice no crashes.
I noticed in the above post the person is in the Barrie area.
Maybe we can get together.

Re: Flying alone

Sometimes I fly alone, other times with a buddy who also flies helis and sometimes with a couple of other guys who fly planes.
We fly on farmers land where we have permision. Its a two minute drive from my place, so nice and convenient.

Some days I like to go by myself, that way I can fly back to back and get lots of flights in a short time.

Re: Flying alone

Me to I learned to fly on my own, living in a small town there is not much around or people to fly with. Belong to a club but do most of my flying alone I love it that way I can concentrate my best that way. Love the company of other people to but the alone time is awesome.

Re: Flying alone

I learnt control line with my father years and years ago but when I did get back into flying 5 years ago it was me alone. I had 160 acres of land out my back door to do the walk of shame through. We have built a new home on 3 acres but at the dead end of a subdivision. So flying is still good, little tight but good. I have over the last couple year started to fly with a couple good friend but nothing beats throwing the wings on and going for a blast at the end of my drive way. No waiting, no mid airs, no was that what you were trying to do???
