10X-Throttle shutdown

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I have an easy question for 10X users: I studying the manual from the 10X and I want to program a switch to shutdown the throttle (airplane(stop the engine)). My local dealer has not this radio, so I can't touch it...
The only info I found are the pages about the throttle-points. Is this the right place to do this ?

Why not just lower the throttle trim?

But, I imagine a mix can be used -one of the aux. switched channels as the master and the throttle as slave, to switch the throttle to full low (cut off).

(edited my poor grammar... )

if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!

I try it...

Sounds logical...I print it out and try it, when I have my radio. Thanks.

This works for me!

My JR652s have programmable mixes so I am sure the 10X has even more.
I programmed the gear switch, which is top left of the Tx, (don't have any retracts) as "C11" to be a throttle-throttle mix (yup you can mix the same channel). "C" Mix as that's the only one that can be assigned to the Gear switch.
Programmed it so that when I turn on the mix, the throttle goes to low trim (ie "Kill").
Saves messing with the trim in flight and is much easier to hit on approach. Also means I can drop to idle in the air with the stick without having to worry about killing the motor.
Got a JR662 too that has a throttle cut button, but I'd really like to talk to the guy who put it over on the top right side front of the TX. Really awkward to hit when your landing!! OK when you're on the ground I guess.
As I fly combat (ie no landing gear) I want to kill the motor before ground contact so I don't kill a prop every time!!

Hope that's of some help
