I use too fly a ACE GLH with TD .049 and .051's and the engines were breaking conrod when in a dive. After breaking 4 or 5 I gave up on the TD's Since then I've designed my own plane similar to the GLH a bit bigger and using a .15

another angle..

all up weight (with all radio gear - 4 HS 55 servos, 110mah pack, expert micro receiver, pushrods) is 7.5 ounces, should be about 8 ounces total, for a 10 ounce/sq foot wing loading...

Looks nice Andrew. You are into all sizes of aircraft. What did you build it from your scraps left over Actually I have a little Thimble Drome which will fit in a 1 1/2" sq. container. I think it is an .010 and I am missing the glohead. They are not to common now. I keep it around just for showing people and besides it is cute. Amazing the work in them and they run.

John,
I too have an 010 (old 1960s stock I have new in the box, but intend to use on a plane some day).

I can send you a new glowhead if you want... are you certain it is an 010 and not an 020? Just to be sure as I have heads for both.

Yes, I am into all sizes of planes, but this is definitely my smallest attept at full house RC.... should be interesting. If this can snap and tumble like the bigger planes, it will be quite fun !!!

Andrew,
Thanks for the offer but I probably won't be using it. I like keeping it and I probably would have to buy new gear to run it.

Andrew, that is SWEET! What a great looking plane.

I've built a few smaller. A couple of .020 powered which flew nice. I've also had a couple Norvel .061 powered with under 20" wingspans which also flew well, but you needed the reflexes of a cat.

Hi Ken, it's your west coast doppelganger. Say hi to John for me.

Hey BF, I thought maybe we can drum up some 1/2A Canadian action with these guys....

For those who dont know, me and BF are on RCU 1/2A forum regularly. It was from his 1/2A Stick plans that I drew up these smaller ones for my 020...
