RC10GT brushless motor mount?

Hi guys, i dont post much, but really need some help here. I have 2 RC10GT which I want to convert to brushless. They are the same "blue pan" type trucks. Im looking for the mount that mounts the motor to the tranny. My son is starting to show interest in them, and they are pretty old nitro powered. So i figure it would be alot easier for him to play with if they were converted, not to mention alot more powerful! His is built as a monster truck type style, and mine is a heavily modified desert type racer.. I have a dosen or so 3s packs laying around that we could use for them as well.

can someone out there please help me out? Maybe you have 2 to part with, or know where I can find 2? I would really appreciate the help!

Take a look at customworksrc they use the same transmission in their cars and are electric.

Re: RC10GT brushless motor mount?

Quick google search suggests that the motor mount from the Associated TC5 touring car will work if you drill new holes in the pan to accept it

Probably the quickest and cheapest route.

Re: RC10GT brushless motor mount?

Thanks for the reply's guys, and to Narly1, ya, if I couldnt get the right one, it would be an option, but If the mount doesnt connect directly to the transmission, then there is always the issue of gear meshing due to frame flex. I managed to find two mounts off of ebay. They are designed to mount the motor directly to the tranny. My cars are mid engine mount type. I got the hard part over with, by getting the right mounts. Now all I need to do is choose ESC/motor combo's. My son's truck is much lighter than mine, so i'll prolly get him something a bit "leaner" than my setup... i plan on using 3s/2200 mah packs in them, as I have a dozen or so to play with. My truck is a bit heavier, having an additional frame deck, and full roll cage, and aluminum wheels. Both have aluminum tranny's and all aluminum RPM upgrades. Ill post some pics later....
