First Crawler Questions

Good day folks,

I am looking to pick up my first crawler. I plan to get an Axial SCX10 kit, just not sure which one.

Question I have is what should I get for electronics? I will need ESC, servo, receiver and a motor.

I am thinking to start off with I will go with a brushed motor. Based off the RTR SCX10's they all seem to come with Brushless. I could just order the ESC, servo and motors from since they literally strip down RTR and sell parts individually.

Re: First Crawler Questions

The best options for crawlers are brushed or sensored brushless.

Brushed - usually less expensive and easier to waterproof but will wear out quicker.

Sensored brushless - More expensive, harder to waterproof but does offer higher speed and don't wear out as fast as long as they aren't abused.
