Yea, the weather was too good...too hot to fly in the Okanagan in the high 30's started in May and pretty much stayed the same all summer till a couple of weeks ago. Trying to get the fall flying in though to catch up. Was out today with the Deuces and maybe tomorrow. Catch up time.

Re: How was your year of flying!

Got out about 10 times this year. Better than the last few years but still not as much as I would like. Work, yard and house repairs due to hail 2 years in a row, and juggling family time makes for less time for flying.

Life is life, just grateful for the times I can get out.

You can fly Hitec or use the other "low tech" stuff!!

Same Curt, only 4 times for me. My flying skills are at an all time low.

Re: How was your year of flying!

I really enjoyed flying this year. Didn't fly as much as I would have liked but I made it a priority to assist my son moving up into larger planes. I also put aside more time to help students in our club set up their planes and get to solo stage. Our hobby needs to be refreshed with new members from time to time and I want to do my part. This winter I shall treat myself to a new 50cc bird and get it ready for May.

Dreaming of next summer.....

Re: How was your year of flying!

Didn't get flying at all this summer. Life got in the way while I was making other plans.

Taking the big room in the van for anything else.

Have a good trip and we'll keep flying while you are out of province.

Re: How was your year of flying!

Though off to a late start I've had a really good year so far - it's not done yet!

I've already been out more than twice as much as last year. I've flown my first kit (AMR Trainer 26) many times and I've taken my Pulse 125 out just as often. I thinned my fleet by selling my 50cc SBach 342 (I just don't have the time to dedicate to IMAC) and I thickened it again with this winter's project - an RC Guys Cessna 150 Aerobat.

We do a LOT of camping in the summer, so between that, family and work my flying time is limited... but I make the best of it and, like Curt, I'm grateful to the times I can go.

I'm lucky to have such a supportive family.

Re: How was your year of flying!

The summer I thought I would get a lot of flying in because the oil patch was in the toilet turned out to be one of my busiest ones. Made it out maybe 15 times. Made it to about 5 events planned on about 10 lol. But the highlight of my summer was flying in the airshow and going to Ontario to attend the great Canadian Huckfest. All in all not to bad nothing destroyed and got to maiden two new planes and one prototype motor and one new to the market free motor lol.
