guys, if you have only one line to vent the tank, it will NOT drain out while flying, as the engine is continually pulling fuel out of the tank, and air will be going into the tank via the vent line.
The simplest set up for pumped engines, where you cant fill via the carb is just T the feul line like Jim Moss said, between the tank and the pump and use a fuel dot. The one overflow/vent line (that normall would be connected to the muffler tap) can go ANYWHERE. Trust me, unless you are using an abnormally huge vent line (like a 1/4" hose) you wont lose fuel. You can also replace the T with one of the quick fill (dubro, sullivan, etc) valves, but after having used both systems, a fuel dot it so much cheaper and easier and less prone to leaking, and requires no maintenance.

Gary, I dont think so, you were still talking three line tank set up, and I thought a pressurised tank, not a pump.
Anyhow, now I am confused! I'll stick to my post.... I am assuming the OS pump is a pump, though, and not a pressure feed/regulator thing like a cline or robart. IE, your overflow stays open to atmosphere and not gets plugged before flying.

Sorry again Andrew, maybe I'm confused...lol... been known to happen!
But here is what I said: Quote "The exception would be to use a quick connect fuel filler valve and that third line would not be necessary but the pump would have to be between the carb and the filler valve! For the extra $25 for the valve, it might be worth serious consideration and eliminate a lot of concerns! End Quote Anyway between the three of us, we should have a working system!

Well I just have to tell you, its not easy taking a simple thing like installing a tank, pump and filler valve and making it this confusing. I work very hard and doing things like that...LOL
