OS Parts and Service in Canada

Hi all;

Is there a good spot for getting parts and possibly OS service in Canada? I bought three used glow 2-stroke engines off this site and they arrived sort of all jumbled up in the box, with needle valves floating around and the little needle valve spring retainer clips all broken off.

So at the very least I need some parts for sure. I just hope I don't need to replace the whole assembly just to get that spring clip.

The O.S repair depot is in Champagne Illinois where Tower hobbies is located. As for parts order from your LHS or mail order.

That spring clip that fits into the grooves on the end of the needle valve, providing the commonly referred to direction of "a click or two" turn of nv adjustment, is one of the first parts of an engine to get lost or break.

Many of use put a short length of fuel line tubing across the fixed barrel of the carb and needle valve - to seal against any air leakage caused by deterioration of the small "O" ring on the interior side of the nv.
This short length of tubing could serve a bit of the same purpose of the spring clip, preventing the nv from unwanted rotation due to engine vibration, by adding friction.

good luck,

Re: OS Parts and Service in Canada

Many carb parts from other brands may also fit; ie the needle valve clip from ASP, SC, Thunder Tiger and other are pretty much than same.
