Dam I'm proud of myself. I've built a full-flying elevator mount out of aluminium sheeting, piano wire, kevlar thread and thin CA. It's 4,0 grams. It could have been lighter but the aluminium I had in hand was a little thickier than needed. I've used Drela's plan found on CRCC web site.

Here it is installed on my scratch build UMS class ship.

Very nice!

It looks like your "unusual material" glider is turning into quite a project!

I've got my X-RES tail surfaces built but not shaped and the fuse almost built. The tail surface parts are beautifully made, you don't even need to build on the plan it all fits so nicely together. Best to take the pieces out of the sheets as you need them, using the map. A lot of those little parts look almost the same!
