I think Dennis (propworn) is referring to the rudder post on the GeeBee Z. It is a weak area in the design of the Z. I have flipped my z over a few times now on landing and have yet to break the rudder post although I do see it as a strong possibilty to happen....

The R2 is built differently then the Z and I am almost sure Dennis was not referring to the plane you are interested in building, the Super Cub.

Apparently Adrian made some upgrades to help remedy the nose-over problem on the original kit. You might want to contact Adrian directly to satisfy any concerns.

Adrian was working on the 1/4scale bird when I talked with him in August 03. For those new to Page Aviation, here is a shot of his Newbee at the Apple Valley Fun Fly near Berwick.

Hi. I just joined this group a few minutes ago. I did a search for my name and ended up here. I have been working for the last 2 weeks on my Super Cub kit. I am improving the scale accuracy and reducing the weight. I should be able to get the new files off to the laser cutter by Monday. When the parts arrive it'll take a couple of weeks to get the manual of the new build done up.
I have been asked to put up a kit for a contest on this site and I thought the new and improved Super Cub would be a good choice.

Hi Adrian,

Welcome to the site! I think you'll see your name mentioned a few times here.

Do you think you'll make it to the Great Atlantic Fun Fly this summer?

First of all Welcome to the group. Nice to see you here. A few of the members in my club the (Sun Parlor RC Flyers of Windsor Ontario) have built the Gee Bee from your original plans a few years ago. So far all are still flying and they are all happy with the flight characteristics even though the landings can be quite tricky at times. I must say the plans and instructions seem to be well laid out.

I think your offer of the cub kit is a super idea and generous on your part.

Again Welcome I hope you enjoy this site as much as the rest of us do.
